Pre-booking is essential for all visits. House tours are small group (max 16 people) and scheduled only April-October, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm. House has narrow corridors and 100 steps - not suitable for wheelchair users or those with mobility difficulties. Woodland accessible but terrain varies. Dogs welcome on leads in woodland only. Cash payments only on-site. Government VAT reduction on admission prices running 25 June - 1 September 2026.

Woodland is free to access at all times (dawn to dusk). House admission is paid: Adult ยฃ7.50, Child (5-17) ยฃ4.00, under 5s free, Family (2 adults + up to 3 children) ยฃ18.00, 1 adult + up to 3 children ยฃ11.00. House access by pre-booked guided tour only (April-October, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm). Online booking required; cash only on-site.

Free on-site parking in main estate car park in Ashdown woods. Standard parking 150m from house along tarmac drive. Closer accessible parking available on request (pre-booking essential). Main car park has 200m walk to house. Blue badge spaces likely available but distance from entrance may be challenging for some families.

Woodland is accessible (open dawn-dusk). House has NO level access - steps/uneven terrain throughout with 100 steps to access main staircase and roof. House access by guided tour only.
